Very rare form of Quartz: growth interference Quartz looks like it has had tiny little saw cuts made through it. This is from thin layers of calcite which have interrupted the growth of the Quartz, it has later dissolved in the pocket before the next phase of the quartz’s growth, leaving it bladed and indented with spaces.
