Everything has its own vibration/frequency including humans. We each have a specific overall optimum frequency which we vibe at, then each of our organs & systems, including our energetic systems have their own specific frequency. For example the optimum frequency of our liver is different to our kidney, the same as the heart chakra & our sacral chakra has a different frequency. We are in a constant state of vibration, when we are 'out of balance' it means that we are not vibing at our optimum frequency somewhere within our intricate system.
Everything is energy, so, if there is an energy you would like to bring into your life then there is a crystal for it.
Crystals have their own radiating energy, and vibrate at different frequencies depending on their matter, size, thickness & their light frequency (colour). Crystals awaken the potential within, an activating process, and they help us to connect to that aspect within.
Find a crystal that has the desired energy & will activate that energy. I often say that a crystal chooses you; this is because you have resonated long before you are even aware. Trust what you are drawn to, the soul knows how to heal itself. Sometimes the reason you are drawn to a certain crystal may not be revealed until you have done some work with it.
Re-Tune, Align & Activate your Crystal before using it.
Connecting to a crystal and sensing the energy of a crystal is not done in the head, it is felt, in the emotional space. If you hold a crystal near your body, for example your hand, take notice of how you feel in this moment, become aware of the energy, and as you move the crystal around in front of your hand, you can feel it. This just takes practice, if you are experiencing difficulty there are a few reasons why you may be unable to feel the crystals energy:
- You are in your head – think less, feel more
- You may have a block or resistance to the energy
- It’s a new unfamiliar energy, therefore you do don't know it yet
I was recently told that if you have a block and cannot feel the energy, then you feel gratitude towards the crystal and it will open you up to the energy. You are then able to connect to its energy and ask ‘what am I feeling?’, then go from there.
If that doesn’t do the trick and you still don’t feel anything, then it may be an unfamiliar energy. Crystals have a range of frequencies, from earthly to exceptionally high. You may not have opened up to this frequency yet and are not conscious of its energy or, you are not vibrating high enough to feel it yet. Use it passively (see below) and work your way through other stones first, then revisit it.
If you choose a crystal and it feels 'too much' and its energy is ovewhelming you may not be ready for that crystal yet, or you may need to support it with other stones. For example Moldavite has an extremely high vibration, some people feel sick & dizzy when they hold it. Using grounding stones such as Shungite or Jet as a support stone may help harmonise the energy & ground the energy into the body easing the intensity. Find a combination which works, otherwise it may just be you havent reached the level energetically to work with that crystal yet and there are others which will be more suited.

4 Ways to Work with Crystal Energy
Passive – the placement of a crystal in a space/wearing it on the body/under pillow etc, its presence broadcasts its energy simply by being. It is the easiest way to use crystals. However, if you want to clear blockages or activate anything within, it is also the slowest method. It doesn’t mean you are not benefiting from it.
Active – This is where you are consciously connecting to the crystal and focusing your attention onto it, to experience the crystal. This method is useful for meditation as some stones just take you into a meditative state, it can also be used with intention e.g to increase one’s vitality - Carnelian.
Resonating – This is where you can feel the crystals energy and you can send that energy back to it. You are on the same frequency and by surrendering to the energy you will be taken on a journey, (if you allow yourself to let go of reality). With the right crystal Astral Travel, inter-dimensions, connecting with crystal keepers etc will become possible.
Projecting – This is when the crystal energy is flowing freely through you and projecting that energy out through you. Projecting the crystal around you can be transformative, as this is the space where the message of the crystal is. It is the ultimate to get to this stage and is the highest form of crystal work.
In order to ‘get to the next level’ so to speak, you work at the level under it.
